Common Questions From Company Buyers & Sellers
General
What is CompanyKhareedo and how does it work?
CompanyKhareedo is an online platform that connects people who want to sell a registered company with buyers looking to acquire one. Sellers list their company details (type, incorporation date, registration numbers, compliance status) on the platform, and buyers can browse listings and reach out directly to sellers to discuss and close the deal. CompanyKhareedo only provides the platform for buyers and sellers to connect — it is not a party to, and does not review, verify, or take any responsibility for, the listings, the underlying company, or the transaction between users.
Is CompanyKhareedo available all over India?
Yes. CompanyKhareedo operates pan-India — from Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bangalore, and Chennai to smaller cities and towns. Whether you want to buy a shelf company in Delhi or sell a Private Limited Company registered in Maharashtra, our platform connects buyers and sellers across every state in India.
Who can use this platform — individuals or businesses?
Both. Individual entrepreneurs, chartered accountants and company secretaries acting on behalf of clients, investors, and existing businesses looking to acquire a ready-made company are all welcome to register as buyers or sellers on CompanyKhareedo.
Is CompanyKhareedo responsible for the companies listed or the deals made on the platform?
No. CompanyKhareedo is only a platform that lets buyers and sellers connect with each other directly. We do not review, verify, or endorse any listing, and we are not a party to any negotiation, agreement, or transaction between users. All due diligence, compliance checks, documentation, pricing, and transfer terms are the sole responsibility of the buyer and seller involved. Please refer to our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy for full details.
Buying a Company
Why should I buy an already registered company instead of starting a new one?
Buying an existing registered company can save significant time — you skip the incorporation waiting period, and depending on the company's age, it may already have a bank account, PAN, TAN, and GST registration in place. This is especially useful for businesses that need to start operating, bidding on tenders, or opening current accounts quickly.
What types of companies are available to buy on CompanyKhareedo?
Listings include One Person Companies (OPC), Private Limited Companies, Public Limited Companies, Limited Liability Partnerships (LLP), Partnership Firms, and Sole Proprietorships. You can filter listings by company type, industry, and location to find the right fit.
Does CompanyKhareedo verify that a listed company is genuine and compliant?
No. CompanyKhareedo does not verify, audit, or certify any listing. Sellers themselves provide details such as CIN/LLPIN, PAN, TAN, GST, and compliance status on their listing, but this information is not independently checked by us. Buyers are strongly advised to carry out their own due diligence — ideally with a qualified Chartered Accountant or Company Secretary — and to verify all documents directly with the seller before making any payment or entering an agreement.
Can I negotiate the price and terms directly with the seller?
Yes. Once you find a company that matches your requirement, you can message the seller or request a call back directly through the platform. All pricing, due diligence, and transfer terms are negotiated and finalized directly between the buyer and seller, without any involvement from CompanyKhareedo.
Selling a Company
How do I sell my company on CompanyKhareedo?
After creating a free account, go to your dashboard and start the "Sell Company" wizard. You'll provide your company type, name, description, incorporation date, registration numbers (CIN/LLPIN, PAN, TAN, GST), and current compliance status. Once submitted, your listing is published on the platform for buyers to view and reach out to you directly.
Is it free to sell my company on CompanyKhareedo?
Yes, creating an account and submitting a company to sell is completely free. You'll receive an email confirmation as soon as your listing is submitted, and another notification once it's live on the platform.
How long does it take for my listing to go live?
Listings are typically published on the platform within one to two business days of submission, once basic formatting and completeness checks are done. This is not a verification of the company itself — sellers remain fully responsible for the accuracy of the information they provide, in accordance with our Terms & Conditions.
Will my company's CIN, PAN, TAN, or GST be shown publicly when I sell it?
No. These registration numbers are collected as part of your listing information but are not displayed on the public listing page. They may only be shared with a buyer if and when you choose to share them directly during your own discussion and due diligence process. Please see our Privacy Policy for details on how this information is handled.
Company Types & Compliance
What is the difference between a Private Limited Company and an LLP?
A Private Limited Company is a separate legal entity with shareholders and directors, offering limited liability and easier access to equity funding — commonly preferred by startups and growing businesses. An LLP (Limited Liability Partnership) combines the flexibility of a partnership with limited liability protection, and typically has lower compliance requirements, making it popular among professional services firms and small businesses.
What is an OPC (One Person Company)?
An OPC lets a single individual own and run a company with limited liability protection — something a sole proprietorship doesn't offer. It's a popular choice for solo entrepreneurs who want the credibility and legal structure of a company without needing a co-founder.
What does "compliance status" mean on a listing?
Compliance status is information provided by the seller about whether the company's statutory filings — such as annual returns, financial statements, and tax filings — are up to date with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) and Income Tax Department. This is self-declared by the seller and is not independently checked by CompanyKhareedo, so buyers should confirm the actual compliance position directly with the seller before proceeding.
Can I buy a company with pending compliance and fix it later?
This is something to discuss directly with the seller and, ideally, with a qualified Company Secretary or Chartered Accountant before finalizing the purchase. Pending compliance can usually be regularized, but it may involve additional filing fees and penalties — factor this into your negotiation. CompanyKhareedo is not involved in this assessment and takes no responsibility for the compliance status of any listed company.
